Logical flow
= how easy it is for readers to follow the information to a clear and intelligent conclusion.
It can happen in paragraph, section or entire piece.
Sentence fixed by reworking. Planning can help structure logic before writing.
Background maps (number parts of structure, then go through and number ideas to correspond, then move content around) can help fix after writing.
Rhythmic flow
= how easy it is for readers to build understanding and momentum.
It can happen within a sentence (cadence and phrasing) or if punctuation isnβt effective.
Read work aloud to find rhythm problems and catch where you need punctuation.
