- Mind and body – definitely liking compressed work pattern. I’m still figuring out my rhythm, but it’s helping physically and mentally. And I’ve managed to get a few lingering house tasks done on my days off so far. Also took last week off and remembered how nice it is to switch off for a bit.
- Home and garden – finished painting all wardrobes, tidied shed and cleared front garden finally. Still focusing on small stuff like clearing out and using up art supplies. But we’re also starting to explore options and affordability for a kitchen extension next year, which is exciting and nerve-wracking.
- Work and money – went for and got a promotion at work. Slightly unexpected! I wasn’t expecting two roles to come up so soon. And applied more for practice as I’d never gone for an internal interview before. So now I have some rapid learning to adjust to the role change. Money-wise, I’m keeping it simple by focusing on replenishing my buffer fund and saving up for home renovations.
- Connecting with others – enjoying having my brother nearby and seeing friends at least once a month. Still a bit rubbish with messages, but aiming to reply slightly quicker.
- Creative hobbies – occasional drop-in drawing class and knitting gifts are all I have time for at the moment. Although I am feeling a sudden burst of gardener’s reviewing and redesigning energy as we come into autumn.
