Lately: March 2024

in

Now page update from 31 March 2024.

  • Body: Sleep is better than before, and still working on improving my wind down and wake up routines. I did most of Yoga with Adrienne’s 30-day January, but lost my rhythm in February and haven’t quite picked it up again. I am, however, pretty reliably going for a walk before work now the weather is improving. Will work on adding some strength-building movement next.
  • Work: I started a new full-time job as a content designer in January. It’s been hectic and I may have cried in the first month. Luckily the team are friendly and supportive, and I’m enjoying having more people to learn from. Still working out my rhythms and routines.
  • Creative: Temperature blanket was finished in first week of January, except for weaving in the ends. I must do it soon and update the project page. I am still drawing, but it hasn’t been every week with the new job. Knitted some gifts: one pair of adult socks, one pair of baby socks, one baby hat (a few friends are having babies at the mo). Halfway through socks for me and started a sheep toy. Also rejigged the website a bit.
  • Mind: Sassy witches (found after listening to Witch podcast) are really sparking my curiosity at the moment, probably because of my current focus on seasonality and rhythms. Also on a real fiction bend and loving audiobooks at the moment; recommendations welcome. Bonus points if I can borrow it on Libby.
  • Home: We added in two fitted wardrobes in January – pricey but relieved! We still need to finish painting one of them. I’m fully in garden mode now that Spring is here. I went a bit overboard with seed sowing, so the potting shed is very full currently – let’s hope I can plant out soon.
  • Social: Spent a week away with my family in March. It was last minute and lovely. I’m seeing friends in person at least once a month currently. Going to the office again has helped with feeling in touch with people. Now also tracking a messaging habit, so I remember to reply more often too.
From above, the dusky white and reds of Barcelona city buildings stretch into the a vivid blue sky. In the foreground are trees and the lines of a cable car.
Snapshot from our last minute Barcelona trip.
